The Aber Falls vision is to produce great-tasting, historic and memorable whisky expressions in order to gain global distribution and drive the Welsh whisky category, Aber Falls Whisky being unique in both its production and taste.
The village of Abergwyngregyn is home to our distillery and sits at the foot of the majestic Rhaeadr Fawr waterfall. Working with local farmers, we use 100% Welsh malted barley and fresh Welsh water, and our recipes have been meticulously developed to highlight the quality of these spectacular ingredients. Aber Falls bottle on-site at our distillery, and our warehouse is located just down the road.
The Aber Falls stills are specially designed to produce refined, premium-quality whisky: the copper removes any unwanted elements, with the large surface area of our tall still ensuring maximum contact with the liquid. Once distilled, a range of specially selected wooden barrels including American Oak Bourbon, Virgin Oak and Spanish Sherry, enhance the flavour profile of the whisky during the maturation process, these casks being stored at our warehouse on the Menai Straits.
Aber Falls is the first whisky distillery in North Wales for over 100 years, producing premium spirits with Welsh water filtered through the rock of the Snowdonia mountains.
