National Geographic Traveller (UK) is part of one of the most iconic brands in the world, known for its work in award-winning journalism, expeditions, science and education. At the heart of the 10-issue-a-year magazine is great storytelling, authentic travel experiences and ‘you-are-there’ photography, plus insightful information to help would-be explorers travel widely and safely. 

It aims to inspire those who are passionate about experiencing the world, championing sustainable travel and celebrating journeys with a local and cultural perspective. And over the past decade, the title has steadily built an impressive following — it’s currently the UK’s most subscribed-to travel magazine and has won numerous accolades, including Best Consumer Travel Magazine at the British Travel Awards in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2019.

Since its launch in 2011, the magazine has always made food and drink a central part of its offering, running both a regular four-page Eat format and semi-regular destination features and cover stories with a culinary focus. But in 2018, it took that commitment a step further, by launching a regular, quarterly special edition: National Geographic Traveller Food.

Over the past four years, National Geographic Traveller Food has carved a niche as an award-winning food and travel magazine with a difference. And in June 2021, it was rewarded for its efforts when it was named Best Food Magazine or Section title at the Guild of Food Writers Awards.

Each issue, it focuses on producers, suppliers, farmers, chefs and restaurateurs, combining so-good-you-can-almost-taste-it photography with the brand’s trademark storytelling. The aim is to show readers where to go, what to see and how to travel the world through some of the best and most memorable food experiences.
